Lindsay Bressman

Lindsay is the Board Chair for The Shomer Collective. She works as a Chaplain at Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn where she supports individuals and families navigating chronic disease, terminal illness, end-of-life, and grief. She serves on the Hesed Committee at Kane Street Synagogue which supports congregants facing personal hardship. Prior to chaplaincy, Lindsay worked in social work and hospital administration for New York-Presbyterian, NYU, and Stanford Medical Center. 

From 2018-2022, she built and brought to scale Civic Spirit, a non-profit elevating civics education within faith schools and communities. She served on UJA-Federation committees for nine years and on the Hannah Senesh Community Day School Board of Trustees for four years. Lindsay has an MSW degree from Columbia University and an MPH in Health Care Management from UCLA School of Public Health. She has studied Jewish tradition, wisdom, and ritual at the Jewish Theological Seminary, Pardes Institute of Jewish Studies, and the Melton School of Adult Jewish Learning.
