Jewish End-of-Life Doulas
What is an End-of-Life Doula?
Also known as a death doula, end-of-life coach, death midwife or death coach — an End-of-Life Doula assists a dying person and their loved ones before, during, and after death. They provide emotional, spiritual, and physical support both to the dying person and their loved ones.
What makes a Jewish End-of-Life Doula different?
The work of a Jewish End-of-Life Doula is informed by Jewish wisdom, rich tradition, and rituals that a Jewish person may be inspired to incorporate into their end-of-life journey. While all End-of-Life Doulas serve a sacred and empathetic function, a Jewish End-of-Life Doula brings an added menu of intentional practices rooted in Jewish practice.
How do I find a Jewish End-of-Life Doula?
Our Jewish End-of-Life Doula Directory launched in mid-2024, and is constantly growing. Add your doula practice here, or find a doula in your area.
If you are looking for a Jewish End-of-Life Doula for yourself or a loved one (and don’t see your area represented in the directory), please email us and we will do our best to connect you.
